Thanks to Volunteer Mike May for keeping the Blog current with nesting numbers. As of July 4, we have 190 nests on the Texas coast! Everyone who can should be walking the beaches watching for hatchlings leaving nests that were not found previously. Call 1-866-TURTLE-5 and count the hatchlings. Try to mark the nest site but do not bother the hatchlings on their way to the water. Protect them from traffic, the public, birds, dogs, etc.
